Synchronizing your iPhone is similar to synchronizing with the iPod. If you have done it before using the iPod, then it should not be problematic at all. Even for those who have not done this before, it should not be should not be a big challenge. There are a number of steps you can follow on how to sync your iPhone. First, you need to connect the iPhone to the computer using a USB cable that came with it when you first purchased it. Ensure that it is first connected to the iPhone before you connect it to the computer. Once you have connected your iPhone to the computer, the iTunes software should automatically load. If it does not load, then you could have plugged it in on the USB port of your monitor, keyboard, or hub. You should counter check that your have correctly plugged it in on the USB ports of your machine.

Once the above has been done, you will then select the iPhone options from the iTunes list that appears on the screen. The setup is meant to appear once you have correctly put in the USB cable on both the iPhone and in the computer. The name of your iPhone will then appear on the screen after which you will have to decide if you want iTunes to do automatic synchronization that will affect your contacts, e-mail account, calendar, and bookmarks. If you have decide on this option, click on the box that appears near the automatically sync all then click on the done button. However, you can also synchronize manually, all you need to do is to make sure that the box is marked unchecked than click on the done button, the summary pane will then appear. If it does not, counter check if your phone is selected on the source list by clicking the summary tab at the top of your window.

In addition, you can choose to automatically synchronize your iPhone once you connect it to your computer. You can achieve this by clicking on the automatically sync button when the iPhone is connected. This will not apply for you if you want to do it manually. You can also select the items that you want synchronized; this will not affect those that you did not select. To achieve this, you choose those that you want to be automatically synchronized then click on sync button. The iPhone will keep on automatically synchronizing only those items that you choose in the beginning any time you connect it to the computer.

However, there are times when you choose automatic synchronization then latter you want to change if from doing so. This is so possible, you can click on the manually manage music and vide button. You could also do this by clicking on the Synchronize Manually button at the bottom right corner of you window, this only applies if you have connected you iPhone to the computer. Once you have done the above-mentioned points, then you will have synchronized your phone using the computer. It is as easy as that.
